1) I've been looking at trusteeships. I'm 26 years old and never had a trusteeship before but I've worked with some a brill board at @DSC_Charity who gave inspired me. But I did not realise how off putting so many ads were. It sounds like some orgs just wants lawyers and bankers
2) i dont fit those categories but feel I've got lots to give. We changed our trustee recruitment process at @DSC_Charity to make it much more inclusive. I hope other charities do the same because as a young woman with an invisible illness you are putting me off
3) which means you'll be putting off a ton of great, talented people who wouldn't use the words in your ad to describe themselves. Like why do I need a degree to be a trustee? It just doesn't make sense and you're excluding people
4) finally sorry for all the spelling/grammar mistakes in writing this rant while rocking my baby 
5) I promise to finish writing about our more inclusive process (it's halfway done!) just as soon as things are less busy
