Starting a thread of every crazy event/Karen that comes into our store because I know there will be plenty more in the future

Today we had to kick a lady out for screaming at us over a return. She had her 7 year old with her. Sets a very good example. Then her husband called to yell at my boss

Lady got very angry the fitting rooms are closed. I told her repeatedly. She proceeded to ask every other employee as if she’d get a different answer. I told her once more they were closed. She told me to “check my attitude”. I had no attitude. But now I do.

Lady: “I can’t wear a mask, I have a medical condition.”

My boss: “oh, what condition causes you to not be able to wear one?”

Lady: “ummm i just...can’t breathe...with it on”

My boss: “....okay, well if you don’t want to wear one, you can feel free to shop online!”

My face:

Me: “Does your daughter have a mask she could wear? Our store requires all kids over 4 to wear them.”

Karen: “that’s ridiculous. She’s under 12.”

Me: “sorry, we don’t make the rules here.”

Karen: “yeah the governor does.”

Me: “okay. She still needs a mask”

Thought I was going to make it through the day without someone yelling at me about masks, but no. Some dummy had to come in 3 minutes before we closed and yell at me.

Found out through email this morning that our store is closing so I’ll be out of a job soon. Even my boss didn’t know this was coming. If they thought I didn’t have patience for rude customers before, oh boy.....nothing stopping me now

Also, starting tomorrow we can no longer accept any returns whatsoever and, due to covid, our fitting rooms are still closed so that’s gonna be a ton of fun

Legit told an angry lady yelling at me that if I were her, I just wouldn’t shop here and my coworker busted out laughing

Well we just filed for bankruptcy so good luck with that
