Literally the best case scenario for students is to be forced to move overseas on short notice and then being forced to move back to the US should their university reopen. The ICE suggests students move to a university holding online courses which is LAUGHABLY not that simple
AND is forcing international students who want to stay in the country to take more risks with their health.

But the lack of exceptions means that if students' homes have no flights to them, or way to GET home, they're just fucked. Not all countries are allowing flights from US.
ICE, which enjoys being cruel, is targeting international students in the US for a massive financial burden, further upheaval of their studies, greater chance of catching COVID-19 and in some cases HOMELESSNESS and BEING TRAPPED BETWEEN COUNTRIES.
Call congress about a lot of things, but also this. And ABOLISH ICE.

If you are associated with a university please make sure the administration is taking this into account in order to protect international students.
sorry in my second tweet, I meant that ICE is suggesting international students transfer to universities holding in-person courses, not online ones. I'M PISSED OFF, SORRY.
"just transfer to another school" is horrendous, especially if they have to then physically take in person classes. That will also entail a financial burden because they will have to apply, transfer and likely move out of the current state they're studying in.
