Can we please put at least 10% of the energy we use to debate US cancel culture towards the fact that China just passed a law making "inciting hatred" towards China's government illegal everywhere in the world, punishable by 3-10 years in prison if they decide to go after you?

I feel fairly certain that this was the kind of thing our Founders were more worried about, rather than whether or not Opinion Columnist gets yelled at on Twitter.

China's security law "literally applies to every single person on the planet. This is how it reads," said Wang Minyao, a Chinese-American lawyer in NY.

"If I appear at a congressional committee in D.C. & say something critical, that literally would be a violation of this law."
