My petty art twitter complaint is thinking ppl r asian on here bc their entire art identity revolves around asian aesthetics and then I find out they're white ^_^ you guys are weird as hell

People love to misconstrue this tweet. I am not talking about anime art style which I said already under this tweet. There is no monolith "Asian aesthetic" but if you're Asian diaspora you obviously understand what I mean by this.

People are acting like im some uninformed idiot thats trying to consolidate all of Asia under one cultural perception or whatever when I'm talking about asian diaspora culture specifically in the west. I am SPECIFICALLY speaking from a diaspora perspective here.

If you want to draw girls in kimonos or ramen or whatever that's fine. But its weird if that's the only thing you draw ever. Art is a way for ppl to express themselves and their identity. If your art identity screams Asian when you're not Asian then...well. nothing further to say
