If you're co-signing letters with JK Rowling, Bari Weiss, Jesse Singal, Katie Herzog, and David Brooks, you are actively making the world a more dangerous place for vulnerable people.

I would just once like one of these people to understand what it feels like when someone with a follower base the size of a mid-sized country decides to attack your right to exist under the guise of "free speech."

I'm sure a lot of folks on my TL are sick of me writing about this stuff, because what does a letter from journalists or a tweet from an author really matter?

But culture changes swiftly in both directions.

If we lose even a little progress, friends of mine will suffer or die.

If even just the level of transphobia that is normalized and deemed acceptable in the UK becomes the norm here in the US, I don't know what I will do.

I mean I do know: I will keep fighting for my sisters, no matter what.

But please, please, please don't make us suffer that.
