It took 4 months & a lawsuit to force the release of this data b/c the Trump admin has either been too incompetent to collect the data or knew that it would reveal what we’ve all known - that Trump has run the worst pandemic response of any industrialized country in the world.
And while Trump stokes racial division and cements himself as the second leader of the Confederacy, this data reveals that Trump’s ineptitude has also led to a horrendous and disproportionate impact in Latino and Black communities:
•Latinos & Blacks are 3x more likely to become infected & 2x as likely to die from Covid-19 than Whites
•Latinos are 4x more likely to be hospitalized from Covid than Whites & Blacks are 5x more likely
•86% of counties had higher rates of infection for Latinos than Whites
