Testicle talk 2.0 (a thread)

Well, 6 months later, I’ve got another good excuse to send out that reminder. After getting the ‘all clear’ after my surgery, a recent blood test showed the cancer’s shown up again in my lymph nodes. So, I’ve now traded in my mic and camera for a comfy recliner and chemo bags...
The good news is, they caught it early. And if all goes according to plan, a couple months of chemo should take care of it. Simple as that.
But, had I ignored that lump back in January, my treatment and recovery journey might not be so simple.

Just look at Lance Armstrong. As a teen, he ignored his testicular tumour until it was the size of an orange. His cancer had spread well beyond his testicle, leading to a long and difficult road to recovery.
So men, don’t be like Lance Armstrong (for many reasons). Do a self check once a month. If you feel anything out of the ordinary, get it checked out.
I’m an incredibly lucky guy with paid sick leave, a very good prognosis, and more love and support around me than I deserve.

Our growing family has everything it needs to get through this. The only thing I will ask of you all is that you keep spreading the word to others in your life, whatever their age, to take their health seriously.
