Has anyone collected data on what certainly feels like a rapid rise in the number of figures/panels (and supplemental figs) in high profile journal articles over the last 10-15 years?
I’m thinking about how this rising bar for the number of experiments we need to do disincentivizes rigorous SABV work. Will top tier journals adjust expectations?
Thanks to everyone who participated in this conversation! Definitely helped me think through this new piece I’m writing. I believe it is early enough in SABV’s implementation to make it a success, but there are going to have to be some big picture cultural shifts.
