I was most disappointed in seeing @JennyBoylan as a signatory to the Haper’s letter. The cancel culture that has been described by many of those who signed it is well over-blown. Some of the signatories of that letter have been able to continue be employed....1/

even after writing years worth of scientifically inaccurate pieces about trans people for years. Some have supported have supported the rights of unapologetically racist speakers to speak at private colleges over the rights of students not to be told they are inferior 2/

Some of those who signed were so legendarily wrong about the Iraq War that it is a wonder that they are still employed by anyone for their opinion. Some have had bad arguments criticised. Some openly speculated that using the national guard on protesters was a good thing 3/

All of those listed though have not been canceled by anyone. Many have huge platforms. All are gainfully employed to spout whatever comes forth.
