I was asked to view the Christie's Qur'an MS which has been much discussed here and elsewhere, and as a result, have a more or less complete set of images for it. Images here:

These images were shot on my phone in some haste and are not well-lit, but I think still convey a general sense of the thing.
The only material point not clear from these is that the replacement folios at beginning and end are on unmarked wove paper, which unfortunately leaves the question of when they were produced wide open. I would suggest they're modern. Your mileage may vary.
It's possible that this MS was either disbound for a substantial period of time or bound in multiple volumes - pattern of damage / wear is rather varied.
I've followed the discussions of this Qur'an's provenance. If anyone spots something I missed in viewing, please comment, but I don't want people rehashing arguments already made elsewhere. I will moderate this thread aggressively - fair warning.
If you want to argue it's a forgery, please show your working. I haven't handled any of the other MSS from this small, weird group, so would be interested if anyone else has handling experience of more than one example.
I'm a bookseller: about all I have at this stage is a professional reputation. And some complicated thoughts re the intersections between ethics and law when it comes to provenance.
I've debated putting these images up, but I think they're better seen and used, since I've no idea who bought the MS or where it's going.
If you do want to use any of these for something more than personal research, I'd be grateful if you drop me a line on here or by email.
