So I don't know if this helps anyone with the uncertainty of all the closures right now, but in Antarctica we have this thing called the A-Factor.

It's the constant uncertainty we live with; anything might happen to any plan because of the A-Factor. Nothing is a given
The A factor might be:
the weather delaying or cancelling a trip
it might be a diversion of a ship or plane
it might been an extension to your season or you coming home earlier
something breaking or being unrepairable until the next resupply

Things constantly change...
How I cope with it:
Feel my emotions and sit with them, even if it's they're negative. Those feelings pass
Create my own space wherever I am; it might be with a favourite jumper that always goes with me or my full room decoration
Talk with others; share the experience
Stick to my routines as much as possible, especially sleep/wake cycles
Make plans that I have control over, it gives a lovely sense of achievement (usually it's baking plans)
Find a positive about the situation I'm in to use an anchor
It can be really hard to have so much uncertainty. But humans are incredible, resilient creatures. It's amazing what we can adapt to and the environments we can thrive in.

Embrace the A-Factor.
PS: Don't be afraid either to take the time out you need - pillow/doona forts to watch movies or read books and chill out, long baths, time in the garden, walking the dog or playing with your cat or bird or chooks. Routine is important, but so too is allowing yourself breaks
