Animated, colour-coded map showing the various continents.

Some continents may be consolidated or subdivided: for example, Eurasia is often subdivided into Asia & Europe (red shades), while North & South America are sometimes recognised as one American continent (green shades)
The seven-continent model is usually taught in most English-speaking countries including the United States, United Kingdom and Australia, and also in China, India, Pakistan, the Philippines, and parts of Western Europe.
The six-continent combined-Eurasia model is mostly used in Russia, Eastern Europe, and Japan.
The six-continent combined-America model is often used in Latin America, Greece, and countries that speak Romance languages. (Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, etc)
A five-continent model is obtained from the combined-America model by excluding Antarctica as uninhabited. This is used in the United Nations & in the Olympic Charter.

The rings represent the five continents of: Europe, Asia, Africa, America(s), & Oceania.
