Thread – The 2019 Easter Sunday bombings in Sri Lanka were conceived and conducted directly by the Islamic State from start to finish.

Since the ludicrous myth that they were merely “Inspired” won’t die, let’s go through some of the participants and their pedigrees:

1. Aadhil Ameez:
-Reported logistical link between all the attackers.
-Identified by Indian intelligence in 2017 as senior IS handler of Ubed Mirza and Qasim Stimberwala, themselves major IS facilitators since 2014
-The “guy from Sri Lanka” is likely Zaharan Hashim

2. Zaharan Hashim:
-Reported ringleader
-Identified in 2016 as leader of IS in Sri Lanka
-Indian investigation of IS-K/raids in 2016 reveal links between IS cells in India and Hashim and coordination between him and IS-K & IS-Bangladesh
-Said his instructions came from IS central

3. Rilwan Hashim
-Zaharan’s brother
-Known to be in contact with Sri Lankan IS leaders in Syria
-May have traveled to Turkey/Syria for training
-One of the bomb makers

4. Abdul Lathief Jameel Mohamed
-Relationship with Prakash & Choudary
-Investigated by ASIO ~2014 in Australia for links to multiple local IS suspects
-Travels to Syria and links up with Jihadi John/Prakash in 2014, sent back to Sri Lanka specifically to recruit for attack

#PT: Abdul Lathief Jameel Mohamed was ALSO in contact with Sri Lankan fighters in Syria.

[Some reports claim he never made it to Syria and only got to Turkey, although that seems way less credible. The person he traveled with wound up in Syria]

5. Inshaf & Ilham Ibrahim
-Wealthy funders of Jammiyathul Millathu Ibrahim (JMI), an IS front since ~2015 that linked up with Zaharan Hashim
-Took private Arabic classes with Abdul Lathief Jameel Mohamed, a very close friend and their neighbour's brother

And, lest we forget, Islamic State released a video of the attackers and their bayah, and Baghdadi said the attack was revenge for the loss of Baghuz

The bombs were textbook ISIS manufacture. Also:
"One man arrested hours after the attacks had commuted between Sri Lanka and Syria"

Literally EVERY SINGLE PIECE of evidence points to this being a very direct IS attack.

Everyone knows the targets/sophistication/synchronized attacks in Sri Lanka means it wasn't just some local rabble.

Stop going out of your way to pretend this was "inspired."

At the very least, this attack was fully "remote-controlled" from Syraq/Afghanistan via Telegram & Threema.

This was all Islamic State. Not IS remote operators guiding random, radicalized attackers, but IS commanders overseeing an operation by trained, long-time IS operatives
