THREAD ABOUT THE KENNEDYS/JFK JR

Jackie and JFK were married in 1953 and honeymooned in Acapulco, Mexico and stayed at the Mexican president’s villa.
It was at this villa where Jackie wrote this poem: “He would find love; He would never find peace. For he must go seeking the Golden Fleece.” #GoldenFleece #JFK
What an ominous poem to write about your husband especially with the Greek Mythology references. So what was Jackie talking about? What was the Golden Fleece?
The Golden Fleece was the skin of Zeus’s Holy Ram. The two children of King Athamas, Phrixus and Helle, were condemned to be sacrificed by the orders of their step-mother. Zeus, who saw this as an injustice, released his holy ram to save them.
The holy ram flew down and took the children away, and continued to travel a long distance with the children. Unfortunately, during the flight, Helle fell from the Ram’s grip and fell into the ocean, to his untimely death. #helle
The area of the ocean where Helle fell is known today as Hellespontine. It was named after this Greek story. From 525-321 BC it was known as the province of the Persian Empire.
This small region of what is now modern day Turkey, including the major city of Istanbul, is where JFK JR and his wife Carolyn, honeymooned. #JFKjr #helle
And just like Helle, in Greek mythology, JFK JR fell from flight, into the ocean, to his untimely death. Strange for his father to have an obsession with this myth? #JFKjr
