in this thread i will be talking about the whole lovelyz situation, i really hope you read this and help spread awareness.
the original thread was made in spanish by @/naviyerin so all credits for the info goes to them<3. https://twitter.com/naviyerin/status/1280171512679579650">https://twitter.com/naviyerin...
lovelyz debuted in 2014 under woollim ent. and at that moment, the only group they had was infinite. as of now, golden child and rocket punch are under that company as well.
on their predebut days, most of the girls were attacked by a lot of infinite sasaengs since both groups shared buildings, they even believed that the girls had romantic relationships with infinite. and that& #39;s when the whole harassment towards lovelyz started.
near their debut a rumor was spread about one of the girls which was completely false. the rumor was based on the fact that one of the members had sexual relations with women, abused them while recording them, and was also accused of having vulgar behavior.
woollim denied the rumour but it was too late, the posts about the girls& #39; debut was filled with negative comments and jisoo, who was the one accused on said rumour, was the most affected by it.
later on, it was decided that she wasn& #39;t going to debut with the whole group but she will be added afterwards.
jisoo was hospitalized and under psychological treatment. this wasn& #39;t seen in a good way since many considered that since she hadn& #39;t come out to give a statement, she was accepting the rumors even though her company had already declared that the rumor was false.
a member of a "more popular" group had a similar scandal but, unlike with jisoo, people empathized with her and they showed her support, while jisoo was only condemned for something she didn& #39;t do and everyone turned their backs at her.
in 2017 they started a tour that included both south korea and japan, and in one of the concerts, the girls opened to the public and expressed their most intimate feelings about how they felt, and the one that had the most impact was jisoo’s.
the comments of the rest of the members are almost the same, accepting the hate that they receive as if it was normal, and saying that they felt alone, that, even if they tried, they couldn’t pretend they were fine. this concerned the fandom for obvious reasons.
the fandom asked if people could leave positive comments under their ig posts, even on their lives, but other fandoms ignored this petitions saying that it wasn’t of their business, and that they had to support their favs.
but, when it’s about other groups mental health IS important? the girls were going through a really tough time and they only had a fandom that didn’t know what to do to help. they made a # but other 5 fandoms at the same time trended other stuff. overshadowing the girls.
no one supported lovelinus, but what’s worse was that nobody was helping these 8 girls that were lost and full of fear, they suffered but they still smiled through the pain.
months have passed and the girls had a fansign in which jisoo decided to speak up and said “i don’t care who’s your bias, when you’re in front of me you should tell me that i’m important, i’m a part of lovelyz too.”
obviously, a lot of people took advantage of the situation to say mean comments; they said she was conceited and hypocritical, but please, put yourself in jisoo’s place; she knew that people didn’t like her and was aware of people preferring the ot7 where she wasn’t included.
if this was said by another idol everyone would react by clapping and supporting them, but not with jisoo. a few days later they had to apologise for her comment.
it’s really necessary for me to mention about the sexualization the girls receive, the most affected member is mijoo, who a few days ago was a victim of it by k*by a "news" page.
it was asked nicely to help spread the situation by trending a # and to leave positive comments but, guess what happened. exactly, people ignored the situation again.
almost to finish, 3 members made a cover of boy with luv by bts, a lot of people didn’t seem to like it so, in the live they did a few days laters, most of the comments they received were negative and they were under attack because of that cover.
also, a lot of people bought their vlive subscription just to leave mean comments, sexualizing them, again.
do you think it’s fair that the members have to end their vlives crying because of the mean comments they’re receiving? do you think it’s fair to ignore everything that’s been happening to them just because they’re not a popular group or because you don’t like their songs?
these are their ig accounts, mijoo doesn’t have one since she prefers not to read mean comments. if you can, please send them nice comments, specially to jisoo (jeezepizza)
i forgot to mention that, even woollim says they will take legal actions, they still let antis and people who sexualize the girls on their fansigns, and they haven’t done anything to make the hate stop.
on an event a few people were taking pictures of the girls’ legs, they felt really uncomfortable and told the staff about it, but they didn’t take action to avoid that situation.
the girls are constantly under attack because of their weight and a lot of people tell them to stop eating even on their birthdays.
i couldn’t find a ss but jisoo said on a live “i deserve hate because i’m not pretty, i’m ugly, right?”

woollim once made a bad joke telling the girls that the group was going to disband after a year of debuting. I think you can imagine how the girls felts after that.
on the “destiny” era, the girls were obligated to diet, these diets consisted of eating one apple a day, and a lot of the members fainted behind the scenes. this was confirmed after a long time by mijoo.
queendom; they were attacked because they didn’t cover an oh my girl song, but a sixth sense one. they were also accused of lypsincing which was denied by jiae several times.
the girls here wanted to eat ice cream but they didn& #39;t allowed them cause they were on a diet.
these are their last two comebacks, please support them and comment that we’re waiting for their comeback and that we love them<3.
and these are the two members& #39; solo debuts, you can also comment positive stuff under them<3.
if you can please go and watch the ah choo mv, yein once said that she wanted to have a video with 100million views so that she can post a picture of the youtube counter, there are still a lot of views to go and this is their most watched mv.
and this is the end of the thread, please support these girls, they need it, they have suffered a lot since their debut and i think that it& #39;s their time to receive the love that they deserve <3.
