Arggghhh ... Why do I do this to myself?

Me: I don't care WHO got PPP loans, so long as they used the money to keep employees on payroll and paid.

Twitterers: But what if the companies don't need the money and they're being greedy?!!!?

Me: Need wasn't a qualifying criteria and greed wasn't/isn't a disqualifying criteria.
Twitterers: But what if you have a bazillion dollars in the bank, and you getting the loan cut out a company that would go under without it.

Me: The PPP program wouldn't keep a company in business ... It just incentivizes companies to keep workers on payroll, rather than lay them off.
