I am inches from going full on exposè on the sexism in academia. I have never been so close to this line of exposing it all. The higher up you get, the worse it becomes. The more insulting is. Insulting is even too light of term. Demeaning. Disgusted by every single aspect.

So much for sleeping on it. It’s 4:45am and I can’t stop thinking about the incidents. We can blame it on a lack of bravery or courage, but I just don’t have the confidence to call it out directly. I’ve seen entire careers ruined by speaking up. I hope one day to be brave enough.

I wish I could pin this tweet on this thread somehow by @Domhnallh. But he sums it’s perfectly as to why I wouldn’t actively speak out. Oh and you say, I personally appreciate beyond measure men validiting these experiences. To me, it means so so much.

The amount of DM’s I have received so far outlining clearly their own experiences is truly insurmountable. All within 7 hours. Truly an epidemic.
