i don’t think halle berry is some horrible transphobe. i think she’s an example of why trans people should play trans people. we understand our own experiences better than cis ppl can and can navigate tricky language situations that cis ppl might flub from inexperience.

if the character she’s apparently playing is a Black trans man then the role should have gone to a Black trans actor. there are so few roles available for Black trans people that to occupy one as a cis person is irresponsible.

be careful how you talk about this situation. if you’re coming for berry more aggressively than you came for scarjo or jared leto, then you might have some antiBlack biases to examine.
