it doesn& #39;t mean we turn the monster against the bad people. it doesn& #39;t mean we say, "well, kill the monster eventually, but as long as we have it...."

it means we stop feeding the monster.
and if you don& #39;t agree with that? that& #39;s fine. but don& #39;t try to bend it into something that makes you more comfortable. that& #39;s intellectually dishonest and it& #39;s a disrespect to the people who have been thinking and writing and fighting for this for generations.
