I have (finally) come to the conclusion that the #WritingCommunity is not my audience. Yes, authors are also readers, but we are all vying for the same thing. Therefore, as much I love and appreciate all my readers, I can't just swallow my morals, and pretend like this 1/8

I'm someone I'm not. I don't believe that this is all there is, and all we have.

We need to be somewhere else, and not starting threads about "Writing rules", to the point where we are at each other's throats.

This is what I believe...2/8

I believe in the written word. I believe in a strong work ethic. I believe in sharing one's passion; one's talent, before it's too late, and the breath has left our lungs. I believe that good people still exist, and I am thankful for the true friends I've met, BUT 3/8

I also believe that there is underlying hatred on here. There are false reviews. Reciprocal reviews help NO ONE. You give me 5 stars, I'm not going to feel bad giving you 2? No, I'll give you 5 to "keep the peace" and that helps no one. I believe that I was put 4/8

here, (on this planet) for a reason, and that is to share my words. I am SICK and tired of other writers trying to undermine the good, and asking the same, tired questions to gain "popularity". I have 27 000 followers. Do you know what that does for me? 5/8

It invites people (strangers) to enter my DMs and ask me to tweet their debut novel for them, before they even say "hello". Do you know what I get out of it? NOTHING. I haven't had a review in weeks. A sale.....here and there...HERE, and THERE? I have 27 000 followers. 6/8

Why "here" and "There". I'll tell you why...because we are not one another's audience.

I started writing BEFORE I joined social media (thank God), and I will continue to write AFTER social media....and although I love many of you dearly, I am not doing this anymore 7/8

This....falling in the trap of feeling "lesser than" because someone with a big mouth comes along and other sheep follow that person as if what they are saying is law.

Remember...NO RULES...follow your heart, and above all else, love one another deeply. 8/8
