Today I learned that Shane Dawson ran a 2010 blog where he asked his fans (kids) to send him pictures of themselves in sexual positions ("Make a blowjob face", "Do a porn pose", "Show your crotch"). It's archived online still.

Some people seem more offended that I'm calling him a pedophile than at the fact that he repeatedly victimized children in a sexual manner.

If you're saying "there's no proof" at this point then you're actively choosing to excuse the sexual victimization of children.

He used his platform to take advantage of kids so let me be very clear in my position:

Deplatform Shane Dawson, call out everyone who knows of this and defends him because they're justifying/normalizing pedophilia, and call out the culture that let him sweep this under the rug.
