3RACHA are more than matryoshka and wow; a thread

hi! i've decided to post this because i only really see matryoshka and wow being mentioned when it comes to 3RACHA's songs. it's a bit disappointing because they have so much more to offer than that so i will be compiling a thread of their tracks in chronological order :)

where do we begin? who is 3RACHA? as everyone probably knows they are the production unit of SKZ. they haven't had a formal debut yet but they have been releasing music together since January 2017. the group is comprised of CB97 (Chan), SPEARB (Changbin) and J. ONE (Jisung)

3RACHA started off with sampling multiple artists when they were beginning their music. remixing songs as well since they were more than likely new to producing music. through that they have grown and have produced more than 100 SKZ and 3RACHA songs in 2 years put together

they currently have 3 mixtapes and a few solo's. the first mixtape literally just called "Mixtape".
here is one of the performances they gave of ID: A before Stray Kids had even debuted. ID: A is a song about how the song making experience is for them personally.

01. Intro

this song is about the anxious feeling of making a mistake or not being good enough on stage. it also has a few disses which i'm not sure if it's them being hard on themselves or talking about someone else. the BGM is art. please listen to those instrumentals.

02. Tik Tok

this song is about trying to find the time to be able to fit everything on top of your schedule, balancing a work, school and social life on top of each other. a very different feel from the intro but still showing off the diversity in their tracks.

03. Runner's High

i'm sure most people know of this song because of the survival show but yeah, listen again. this song is about them being excited about the music they make and acknowledging the long road ahead of them.

05. 은석이 (eunseoki)

this song's lyrics really surprised me. they're intense. this song focuses on growing in a more negative way. becoming a person that you wouldn't really want to. letting your inner demon come out.

with that mixtape also comes a few deleted / unreleased tracks.

this song is talking about what they would do if they had cash. they're saying how they want to make ₩1,000,000. they're also saying eat the rich lol.

as said in the beginning of this video, this song "was made while thinking about the answer to the ultimate question about life".

05. Cloud 9

this song is about trying to handle your inner struggles alone. it's about people assuming that you are okay on the outside when really on the inside you are struggling to hold it together.

next up is their mixtape "3 Days". 3 Days includes two solos from J. ONE and SPEARB as well as the aforementioned song "ID: A" that i posted a performance of in the beginning of the thread. it also has deleted tracks, some of which sample famous artists such as amine and TTC.

this song is literally just them speaking about how the "small things" matter. they are telling you to stay positive no matter how bad things may get. just knowing the sun rises every day is enough to make one smile.

06. 국산 바나나 (Domestic Banana)

this song is about it being "so hot". that's literally all this song is about. i love it. this is my personal favorite 3RACHA song.

08. If (SPEARB Solo)

this song is about the "what if"'s in life. what if you lose everything? what if things don't go well after letting out your feelings? what if you lose someone special? this song is about feeling anxious of the unknown.

09. I see (J. ONE Solo)

this song is about going through your struggles and working hard with the encouragement of others. yet it takes a turn and talks about self doubt, wandering if the goal is worth reaching or if you even can reach it.

this song is about them wondering if making music is for them. this was made obviously before they got their fame and talks on how they were struggling to find motivation to continue. the publics lack of interest to their songs weighing down on them

07. Alchemistry

this song is 3RACHA comparing music to mixing potions or doing science experiments. the use of sampling the movie "Frankenstein" was so genius as it solidified their idea of making music alive & their music surpassing the ordinary.

onto to their most recent mixtape, "Horizon". where the famous Matryoshka comes from as well as 7 other tracks that deserve equal attention

this song is about losing your path in life and being unsure of which direction to go next. it's as though you have been stranded. it changes in the middle and just says that you should pick yourself up and continue moving forward regardless

05. Placebo

as the definition states, a placebo is to benefit a patient. this song is about knowing about any uncertainties and negative aspects but wanting to ignore them and continue being positive.

06. Scene Stealers

this song, as the name states, is about them being scene stealers. the spotlight follows them. it's them really flexing their music again. they're saying that they will outshine any main character.

with mixtapes being out of the way, they also have solo's that have been released. two of which have not. "We Go" and "Passion" have yet to be released but they both slap. another solo they have is "Carpe Diem" which i'm not including, sorry. i will be including start line though

01. Start Line

this song is about feeling lost when you have just graduated. it's about reminiscing on the time you spent with your friends and now reaching the end of the line, getting ready to cross over the next one ahead of you and start a new journey; adulthood.

that brings us to the present. the last we heard of 3RACHA was at KCON 2020 when they performed Passion. sorry i can't post the video because it will be taken down for copyright infringement. i'll post their maze of memories performance from 2019 instead.
