Armymen in Civil dress, wearing pherans, in a local vehicle (which they ask for, by force) roaming around with weapons (hidden beneath their feet) and threatening Civilians.
We had closed traffic for civil Traffic movement for Road work. When i saw a Civilian vehicle coming towards us i waved my hand and asked him to stay right there. The driver looked like a non local so i thought he didn't get what i am saying).
I went towards the vehicle to ask driver not to damage the road and stay right there till we make way for him.
This Civil dressed Armyman caught hold my collar and said 'Ye andhar deakh raha hai kya hai"? Yahin pe maar doon ga.
Tbvh, i wasn't scared when i saw guns under beneath their feet. It made me wonder why they are roaming around in a Civilian vehicle with no uniform and Kashmiri Pherans on.
Before this incident, a colleague from Anantnag Area told me that their vehicles were stopped by
Army last night at Vessu when they were coming back from a marriage party and they took our vehicles by force. They offered us an Army vehicle to drop us home, we refused and walked by foot rather. They changed dress and wore pherans and drove our cars. They asked us to get back
Out vehicles tomorrow. Returned in the morning today.
