I have been reflecting a bit on my summer without conferences, and I'm interested in how other people are feeling as they have adjusted to the situation.

I'm aware it's very different for me than an ECR, and I wonder if people are feeling they are finding new opportunities and ways to share their research, or if there's a real gap in our activities.

But also, I wonder which elements people miss, and which you are happily doing without. I'm certainly conscious that it's been financially and personally less of a strain not to be travelling and finding ways to accommodate family (in all senses!).
