It was #NationalMeadowsDay on 4th July, so we wanted to highlight ways YOU can help create, nurture & support meadows. It doesn't need to hard, in fact, the most SIMPLE thing you can do is simply stop mowing your lawn. Easiest thing ever! Whilst there's much campaigning to do for restoring meadows, you can make a meadow in your own garden. You can't underestimate how much a small amount can do. If you leave your lawn for a few months, the seed bank below will produce beauties you NEVER knew were even in there! Bugle, forget-me-nots, poppies, ox-eye daisies... really eye-catching diversity.
