new cherry sketches,,,
1) tried a scarf, but felt too much like roleswitch?
2) plaid bandana, which i felt was a bit too cowboy, but my sibling said they liked <3
3) side view of 2, with hat ribbons <3
4) latest version, changed shoes? added bag
(roleswitch wander is also there!)

roleswitch wander qualities to incorporate?
Scarf: covers the neck (i love the lil bump that covers the face), and has fun scarf tails (i love drawing the tears/holes in it)
Bandages: arms w/o bandages seem empty, bandages provides detail and makes it easier to draw his hands,,,

(example above sucks) bandages also on legs?
Hair: left uncovered on top of the head (which is good b/c i love drawing the hair)
Belt: diagonal asymmetry keeps it interesting
Weapon: definitely fun, but also the mace adds a nice weight to the character, it's usually on his back

i just really love rs wander's design, it's the perfect level of detail? it removes the difficulties i find in drawing canon wander and makes it look so good? im just!!! dang i love rs wander!!
Cherry also just has details i like to draw, like the hair floof and the pretty hat!

Hair Floof: hairstyle unique to cherry!! reminds me of puffy sleeves or prince pants <3
Hat: i love drawing dangly bits for hats + i love drawing wander's hat from that angle, so they always wear theirs like that too (compare to: rs wander's hair uncovered on top of the head)

Bag: i give a lot of my OCs messenger bags, i liked it for Cherry (compare to: rs wander's belt)
Star Pin: reference to my own persona! makes the bag strap interesting <3
Shoes: i love giving my OCs wings, but cherry's a star nomad, so no wings. i gave them winged shoes instead!

as reference to rs wander, they also just have two strips of bandages for their arms, and i think the plaid bandana's here to stay (compare to: rs wander's scarf) <33
all in all, i think i like cherry's design for now, but let's see how it all holds up <3
