hers sold because she was the face of Bruneian twitter for her recycled and repackaged jokes and edgy sense of humour that often bordered problematic behaviour which garnered her a mass following for being a relatable hijabi on bru twt

idk if she ever made another attempt at “contributing” to the art scene because that was never her domain, and it seemed like an opportunist move to capitalise off of a bruneian phrase & her platform to make some quick cash especially considering she didn’t design it... but

apparently despite her numerous incidents of being a problematic person, jer mass following immortalised her as one of the bigger faces on a list of 100 acknowledged artists who pioneered the art community. A fucking insult.

Not just to me personally, but to a lot of other creatives who don’t agree with her antics but are unable to say so publicly. Either out of unwillingness to get involved, or for a fear of seeming ungrateful for being also acknowledged on that same list.

this post is getting traction and people are taking it as tea but I didn’t @ anyone bc idc about getting an apology or reparations. I just wish some of y’all would stop supporting continously problematic people.
