while im awake i might as well address a really minor complaint i have with these arguments: the common "but you prefer 2014 chattering to 2019 chattering!!! do you want ghost to be ableist or not!!!!" stance i've seen one or twice.

the difference between old chattering and CMNCS/candle queen is that the ableism in the latter works is fundamentally engrained in them, if you know what i mean?
with old chattering it's more of an auxilliary thing that can be written out if done tactfully

it's not like we enjoy old chattering BECAUSE of the ableism therein, it's more that we enjoy old chattering because we just... find the characters and story overall more interesting?

that and, of course, the fact that it's a finished story.
i know theres a whole lot more arguments i could deconstruct but i already wrote like a 5 page apology to ghost and i dont feel like doing that anymore
