This is my new music recommendation thread. Jams and bops are my ✨specialty✨ and sharing the #certifiedbops of 2020 will be the goal of this thread. The music in here will cover a variety of genres and artists.
To start off with a showstopper: @DUALIPA's "Don't Start Now" from her sophmore album 'Future Nostalgia'.

What can be said that hasn't already? That bass line. The energy and beat that dig into your brain and heart and make a home. A master class in pop.
While we are all stuck inside take @maisiehpeters' new single for a spin. "Sad Girl Summer" proves Maisie is just getting started after her first two incredible EPs and various singles.

It has a swing to it that captures that feeling of friendship.
I can't start this off and leave out the The Queen of Bops: @carlyraejepsen.

Choosing one track off of 'Dedicated Side B' is hard but the opening track just feels like a sunrise that I didn't have to wake up early to see.
If you're looking for *one* band for driving down a quiet Ontario road at dusk, @dizzytheband is that band, and "The Magician" is that song.

A bit of whimsy, strolls under street lights, all wrapped up in a musically beautiful band.
I have adored @PURITY_RING for a long time now, and their newest album continues their trend of feeling otherworldly in a magical way.

"pink lightning" is a great example of this. There's nothing like them and what they make feels so special.
A bit of synth, a great beat, and smooth lyrics all mix up to make @theweeknd's "Blinding Lights".

There's a reason it is as big as it is. An 80s-inspired gem with modern production that is catchy as hell.
"Introspection" (the song and EP) from @whoisumi are those lo-fi beats missing from your quiet summer nights.

An artist to keep an eye on, UMI is an easy-going conversation with a groove. Let it wash over you.
"Dark Days" was already an absolute classic from @localnatives, but the addition of @SylvanEsso elevates it into even greater heights.

The contrast of the voices is nothing short of magical. It feels like a summer breeze. (Also, the @foals remix is 🔥)
"Club Nostalgia" is full of some fantastic @DUALIPA remixes, but the standouts for me are: "Physical" with Mark Ronson and Gwen Stefani that has Neon Genesis Evangelion-esque visuals in the visualizer.
Right after that one, is a remix of "Kiss and Make Up" with @ygofficialblink that is FUNKY as hell. The new bassline is everything to me.
Been a minute since I updated this thread, but @sadgirlsloan's new album is out and one of my favorites is "Lie". All of her music has a hauntingly beautiful voice with equally devasting lyrics.
If you enjoy the indie pop I've listed earlier in the thread, @astridsofficial is a perfect fit. Her new album is solid, with this being my favorite:
I first fell in love with their "Blue Monday" cover for Atomic Blonde, and now @_HEALTH_ is here with this new album that cuts straight to the core.
While this from last year, @kimpetras' is the forever Halloween soundtrack with "TURN OFF THE LIGHT" and my personal favorite from this album: Wrong Turn. It is just a perfect album.
