No matter our age, building relationships with people is crucial. Not only does the volunteer work we do show who we are as person, but it also reflects many positive character traits that potential employers and partners want to see...

... Volunteering allows us to meet a wide variety of people from all sorts of walks of life and have access to a breadth of knowledge from their co-volunteers.

4. A Sense of Accomplishment.

It is not one of the most glamorous of activities, but it is one of the most uplifting. While no monetary compensation is received, the work and experiences gained as a volunteer could be worth way more than money gotten from another line of work.

5. Building Career Options.

Volunteering gives us the opportunity to test out a desired career path. By gaining new experiences and creating new connections, we are able to build the possibility of building new career paths.

6. Provides Better Job Prospects.

Volunteer hours also make prospective employees more competitive in the job market. Including related and non-related volunteer work on a CV can often showcase your skills, as well as reveal an openness to teamwork and a talent for innovation.
