I hate people who love every anime they watch...
You know, people that might've seen five episodes from a show and it is already in their top 5, or cry in the first episode. Or when they finish a show and it's a new all time favourite, maybe even the new top 1. Or people that give Benizakura a 10 or something.
And, of course, this happens repeatedly for them. Obviously, great for them, it's gotta be fucking amazing being them and watching anime. I don't know why it bugs me so much.
I just see people from time to time watching shows, loving it from the start, throwing 10s everywhere, crying several times in the first couple of episodes, yet when I sit down and watch them, I probably really like them, but also sit there and have a bunch of issues with them.
A recent example is Sangatsu, which people adore, and don't get me wrong, it's really good and I do quite like it, but I also think its quite flawed, and I spend an amount of my tweets are of criticising it, and then I see other people crying in the first couple of episodes,
it already joining their favourites. I guess I'm just jealous or something, I dunno. Some of them undoubtedly have recency bias though. Ah, just to clarify, no way of watching is better than the other. I'm not better for criticising the show more or anything,
I just think its bugs me not having the same overwhelmingly positive experience, and this goes to a lot of shows. Even Gintama, that I fucking love, but am more critical of than most other people I know that love it as much or more than me. Guess it's just annoying.
This characteristic of mine is probably a contributing factor as to why I'm so tough with my ratings. It's not something I like or can turn off either, so I guess I'm just stuck with it.
Maybe I'm just overthinking it and this rant led me nowhere, if that's the case, then whatever. Either way, can't change anything, so we'll just keep enjoying shows in our own ways. That's fine really. It doesn't bug me THAT much.
