Why are the parents of all Zoomers just fucking awful at parenting? How do you fuck up an entire generation so uniformly?
(A thread probably)
(A thread probably)
Every Zoomer Iâve talked to has an overwhelmingly negative relationship with one or more of their parents or guardians, and a general distrust of any adult they know, me included.
We canât trust our elders to understand the shit we deal with every day, mostly because a majority of them have an ass backwards veiw of mental health, and self care in general.
So, we turn to our peers, the only people we really trust.
So, we turn to our peers, the only people we really trust.
But then, if grades start slipping or we fail in some way because we are constantly hauling baggage with us that drains all of our energy to be productive, rather than help, more often than not, our elders harm.
They take away the kids phone or computer or other method of communication that keeps them linked to the outside world, leaving them utterly alone.
Because now, they have no support networks, no coping mechanisms, nothing to help keep moving.
Because now, they have no support networks, no coping mechanisms, nothing to help keep moving.
So more often than not we just drown in apathy, losing all hope in ourselves and in the world around us.
So what can parents of Zoomers do to stop fucking up their kids?
So what can parents of Zoomers do to stop fucking up their kids?
1: stop fucking yelling. We are a high strung generation just shut up if you canât talk calmly
2: Donât take away our hobbies and safety nets! Often they are the only thing keeping us in one piece.

3: Do not insert yourself and your values into our lives. It will only make your kids despise you and drift further from you.
4: ACCEPT THAT YOUR KIDS ARE HUMAN BEINGS WITH FEELINGS AND BOUNDARIES. WE ARE NOT A GAME OF SIMS 4.
