Y'all know how much I enjoy Blades in the Dark and doing design work for Forged, or for alternatives to Doskvol.

Well. Presenting my WIP thread for The Dagger Isles, a supplement I am planning to put out for Blades in the Dark. 👀⚔️🐍✨
Shots of the tentative introduction I've got for it. Banging it all out on Google Documents because I will figure out art and layout in the future. On a design level, much of my old work for One More Notch's Namayan supplement will become the core for this product.
I have always been interested in curating One More Notch as a whole into an original work, and making the custom Playbooks of Namayan compatible with Blades in the Dark. Te Dagger Isles is a part of the world that was never really covered in the same way that Iruvia was.
Personally, I see this as a great opportunity to make a fantasy world inspired by SEA, primarily the country I am, of course, most familiar with: the Philippines. It deeply matters to me to see something close to my reality represented in a game, and to tell my own stories.
Created a section entitled WHY WE DO THIS, portrayed in image below. I think it is important to have sections like this, for playgroups and for other designers. I grew up with trad books that never explained much of anything. So, here we are.
Keep your eyes on this thread as I plan and work on this together with my other projects!

+ Setting info & gameable lore for the Daggerite Heritage
+ Quick play stuff for BitD games set in the Dagger Isles
+ Mechanics for travel, esp seafaring
+ New Playbooks
+ 2 new Crews
What I will definitely need in the future:

+ Art
+ Layout
+ Editing
+ Sensitivity consultants to make sure this is great SEA representation. Coming from the region doesn't mean that I don't have blind spots.
+ Playtests!
That said, the Namayan Playbooks in their current form have gotten some real good playtests in through One More Notch. Been running a campaign called HUNGRY DOGS ARE NEVER LOYAL, which some of you folks may have seen me or others talk about on Twitter.
If you'd like to see OMN as it is plus its current spread of releases, check it out on Itch! My patrons, however, are the only folks beyond my campaign players who have access to Hungry Dogs and the modifications I have made to it. https://thedovetailor.itch.io/one-more-notch
Anyway, the work continues. I predict this will occupy me from here until 2021, once again together with all the other stuff I've been trying to put out. As per usual, I'll drop progress shots and babble in this thread, and link back to other relevant things here!
