It's just really cool to think that there are almost 1000 people who help @lingthusiasm exist for new linguistics fans, students, and other people who can't pay (yet)

Anyway, it's thanks to the ongoing support of our patrons that we're able to spin up projects like @mutualIntellig at short notice to help profs who were getting their linguistics courses online at even shorter notice, so it makes sense to stay flexible for the moment

But at the same time, 1000 patrons is a really cool round number when you've got a Weird Internet Career, so we wanted to mark that occasion somehow

Hence, a joke goal
