We are on our way to deliver an urgent relief package to a family living in one of the locked-down suburbs in Victoria.

Today we are supporting 10 households of 43 individuals in the top 10 priority suburbs including adults, kids, teenagers & elderly people.

96% of these people are on no income or very low income, This week alone we have received requests from 2 new households in crisis, as well as one individual currently sleeping rough, all of whom are asylum seekers..

RISE COVID-19 Emergency Drive is currently at full capacity. However we will NOT abandon our community members in crisis. We are trying our hardest to meet the increasing demands from our members especially eX-detainees incl those who have been refused support by all other orgs.

We are not going to source 2kg rice or 1kg flour for a family of 6 or even 1 person with no income to live on that for 1 month. It is NOT our standard. We give away a whole month worth of food items & other supplies.
