The End of Anxiety, a thread.
Life was not meant to be lived in a state of perpetual anxiety.
The triggers of anxiety are external, but the cause is internal.
Try to remove the triggers of anxiety, and you will be trying for the rest of your life.
Remove the cause of anxiety, and there will be no anxiety left to deal with.
The cause of anxiety is hope.
You suffer in the present because you hope for the future.
If you approach life as though you have something to gain from it, you will be prone to anxiety.
Life is an empty, meaningless, glorious game.
“Man suffers only because he takes seriously what the gods made for fun.” —Alan Watts
Anxiety itself is nothing to be anxious about.
The arising of anxiety only causes problems for one who seeks to escape it.
Anxiety comes to an end in the person who realizes he can hold on to nothing.
Everything that can be had can be lost.
Only one who is at peace with the transitory nature of things can truly live.
