And now, he's telling a story to his children, especially to his kind Snowflake.

He held the baby in one arm, using his free hand to conjure harmless magical images with the other hand, one of the few magic spells he can do with no problem.

"Long, long ago,
< even before daddy was born, even for the first time, there was a beautiful blue sea covered with islands filled with life and unique treasures, the Lanayru Region of Hyrule.. a paradise. That all changed, when the war of the spirits happened..." It was called the "Demon War," >
< but he didn't want to scare them too much. The imagery was primitive and it wasn't meant to scare.

"The spirits of light and darkness were fighting over the land, when the Great Goddess Hylia descended down from the heavens, entrusted with the Triforce, the power of Creation.>
< She created a race of people, the Hylians, to grow and cultivate the great world."

He'd told the story of the Triforce and the Demon war to them before, but Gerudo origins were a different tale. That origin story was always the first and most detailed.
>
< "The spirits of the darkness conquered Lanayru and used its massive oceans to operate, capturing Hylians and imprisoning them on the islands to work and mine for treasures and tools. It was hard work, and when the Great War came, the Dark Spirit Demise warped and twisted the >
< entire region into a barren, dry desert... the Hylians who lived there cried out for help.

"Their cry was not heard by a Goddess, but by a spirit who inhabited the form a beautiful warrior, a dark-skinned, red-haired hero who traveled across the desert and into the sky, where>
< she stole the Triforce right out from under the eyes of Hylia herself. The spirit did so not out of anger, or greed, but out of love, and the desire to see her people survive.

Hylia, in her wisdom and grace, not only let the great spirit into her temple, but through the >
< Triforce, she ascended, and became the /Melak-Éshi./ The Goddess of the Sands. She brought life, water to the desert of Lanayru, and blessed seven of her kindred to lead their people out of darkness. Seven Heroines, each bringing a different piece of Gerudo culture...">

He listed them off:
"Éshakr-Hantia, She Who Battles
Éshakr-Ésishi, She Who Brings Water
Éshakr-Magst, She Who Grows Food
Éshakr-Listriti, She Who Rides
Éshakr-Vésto, She Who Brings Smiles
Éshakr-Doplísh, She Who Brings Daughters
Éshakr-Pérín, She Who Mends Spirits."
>
< He smiled as he depicted each in turn. "Their true names are forgotten, but they are the Seven Heroines, gifted with divine strength, and they led their sisters out of the desert and into a new paradise, to fight against the dark spirits. When Demise was driven out, they were >
< cursed, never to bear sons, only daughters. He thought he had defeated them, but he was wrong. Only his incarnation would be born, once a century, and he was. I was..."

He depicted the first form of Ganondorf, which looked a little like he did, but he was very different.

>
< "The Gerudo honor and worship the Great Desert Goddess, and her Seven Heroines. There weren't just seven, either, and they had many sisters and daughters, but those are the ones we honor today. When a young vai comes of age, she makes a pilgrimage across the desert alone, or >
< with women her age. She must survive on her own with almost nothing, and climb the great statues erected in their honor, or the honor of the Goddess herself. The Heroine they choose helps solidify their place in the tribe, as they make a single mark on the statue in paint, and>
< finally, once proven, they return as grown Warriors:

Va Gérudo Hantia."
