Hey can we all admit for a second that we're all exhausted and anxious and depressed from the general state of the world? And perhaps our impulse to pick fights about everything online is coming from an unhealthy need to lash out in the face of uncertainty? And log off for a bit?
I'm including myself in this too, I've definitely been guilty of picking fights where there don't need to be any.
I've just noticed everyone (including myself) is a lot quicker to escalate interactions into fights these days. I don't claim to know any more than anyone else it's just like. I think it's a good time to extend compassion when we can I dunno maybe I'm being a big baby
I don't mean like. Fighting over things that are serious or worth fighting about. I mean like over small differences of opinion/experience or semantics or just little miscommunications turning into screaming matches. It's SO anxiety inducing tbh
Again, I don't say this as someone who thinks I know any better. I need to work on this too. I just think we could all be a little bit more patient with each other right now (within reason of course if someone is spewing hate or being a bigot or w/e that's different)
