Roasted here, like a lot of people in my notifications today, thinks this is a gotcha on the Lincoln Emancipation statue. So let's all look closer... https://twitter.com/RoastAnatomy/status/1279801844865392641
Next he wants to bring up who spoke at the dedication... Frederick Douglas. Also correct. But he is either ignorant of Douglas' options on the state or doesn't want that brought up. https://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/what-frederick-douglass-had-say-about-monuments-180975225/
Now here is a letter from Frederick Douglas about this very statue and how he wanted to see something more appropriate put in is place before his death. He died without that happening.
So now I must ask Roasted here to defend this statue without hiding behind people that were given no choice in the matter and were expected to be grateful for this celebration of a white man.

Good luck.
