There 72hr @TCodestorm ended today. Its was my first hackathon ever and sadly it didn't go well ☹️,our team's final build had bugs. It was a great experience. Here are some takeaways I listed:
1) Planning before starting to code :Very, very important!!
We did plan but didn't spend ample time on it
:(. We were in a hurry ,we fast forwarded to the coding part .I think its important to discuss what the final product will have, then break it into parts and split the work.
2) Mastering Firebase( for app dev.), because its a complete solution to the backend and requires very less code hence its better to use it in competitions involving time constraints. We were new to it so we messed it up.
3) Obviously mastering Git/Git Hub because you don't want to waste time on solving the merge conflicts as we did.
4)Not to look at what others are doing and sticking to your own plan.
5)Making a habit of reading other's code and writing clean, easy to understand, compact and D.R.Y code so you can function smoothly as a team
These were the takeaways for me as a newbie App dev.,do voice yours!
