I’m in a FB Group for content creators a member whose bio says HR/OD/Diversity Consultant laid out her racist views in the Obama’s here’s my point on this NOT everyone you hire #HR is an expert or cares about diversity or inclusion there’s a lot of wolfs in hoods in HR 1/2
Not that we can’t have diverse voices at the diversity table but if we’re driving the discussion about BLM and #HR moving from passive acceptance of racism and inequity in the workplace I think it’s time for Y’ALL to hire black people to drive the discussions. 2/3
I’m sick of once again watching my white mainly women “ally’s” driving the diversity bus and we are bystanders at our table. I know this is controversial, clutch your pearls Margaret why are you saying this out loud? Why, cause it needs to be said. (I’m just going to keep going)
Okay did you let go of your pearls #HR ? I’m not done. Internally your BIPOC employees have had a lot to say, bringing in a fake biased diversity consultant will not fix your internal problems! News flash it won’t. Lived experience especially from those working for you is a start
Now, for my diversity ally’s who feel wronged by my comment spare me! Don’t comment. Your text book view and solutions of what diversity should be is wiped away by our lived experiences. Many of you are now reading books you should have read to do the work you’re doing. #HR
So what do WE need from those non BIPOC individuals who are doing the work of diversity inclusion and equity...broaden your inner circle ⭕️ conduct some genuine real world conversations based on today’s reality the post George Floyd world and adjust your lens. Do this For us

The work that’s necessary to end systemic racism requires everyone to be at the table but now is the time to flush out those who thorough their work will continue to undermine & nuance the real work that needs to be done. The way you present the message determines the end result
