Growing up in a society where sexual slurs directed at one’s mother and sister is a norm, I have had no option but to tolerate and overlook them.
But I have always failed to understand why any woman would mouth such slurs or laugh at them or support them

When people you respect as icons use them, it disappoints if not surprises. When women use them, it's just cringe.
To my horror though, I have seen these slurs get more and more mainstreamed.

As a person who never utters these cuss words and can't hide the cringe when I hear them, I have actually been bullied for it. In college and at workplaces. The same kind of bullying when I say I don't eat meat.
