I don& #39;t normally post long rants like this on here but, I was a witness to something so shocking and horrific I just had to share.
So yesterday I attended the Black Lives Matter/Indigenous Lives Matter rally at the Leg in Winnipeg.
So yesterday I attended the Black Lives Matter/Indigenous Lives Matter rally at the Leg in Winnipeg.
It was a very peaceful protest centered on taking back ownership of Identity and Land. We learned songs, we learnt about healing and about history. At about quarter to 7 we started to march, peacefully.
I was walking behind the crowd trying to catch up to them and I look to my left and I see two protesters (one in red and the other in the red and green top) that were chanting and singing and walking along Broadway. At first everything was cool, the protesters
(who I later learned go by the names Theo and Judah) were doing what they do best, protesting. But the traffic started getting testy and yelling for them to get off the road. Eventually, most people just drove around them to get on their way,
but not these guys...
They initially got out of their vehicles and were yelling at the protesters but then it quickly escalated... These guys drove ahead and stopped suddenly and got down from their vehicles and this is what proceeds...

The video isn& #39;t complete so unfortunately, you don& #39;t see the part where the girl in pink throws a glass cup at Theo or where the white girl strikes Judah on the head as she tries to take the stick away from her or where she strikes Theo on the arm
Or the part where one of the girls steals Theo& #39;s phone when it drops on the floor and they run and get into their car and drive off.

This was a peaceful protest. This did not have to happen. This does happen in Canada. Right here in Winnipeg. There& #39;s so much anger and hate in some people that they cowardly take it out on unharmed individuals.

I hope the police identify and catch their ratchet and raggedy asses. I hope they take this seriously. This should not happen anywhere. Period. @CBCManitoba @wpgpolice @WinnipegNews @ctvwinnipeg
Winnipeggers please I want to make this clear. I am not promoting any kind of cancel culture. The police are involved in the matter. All we can do is hold them accountable for their jobs.
Please if you know them do not attack or engage them. They will be caught and dealt with.
