You can believe me, you can doubt me. It doesn’t matter because well frankly speaking I don’t need you to. It’s up to you but the following are some of the things I know to be true.
1. The best way to support their work is to watch their work / buy their work / and not by fighting antis on social media

2. Shipping is okay, anti shipping is okay too, but NONE OF YOU TRULY KNOWS what’s going on in their private lives
You can’t claim that shipper is wrong, they are “shippers” for a reason but you also can’t claim anything to be true. Lol even some confirmed dating news are fake.

How do I know that? I used to live in the same apartment with a sibling of a really popular kdrama actor. He often visited us with his gf and nobody on the news knew who he was dating

Even I — so close to their inner circle — could be wrong. Truth is why should it matter? If you support someone’s artistic work then their private lives shouldn’t matter. Focus on positive ways of supporting them. WATCH THEIR WORK LEGALLY LAH don’t be worrying about these things
3. They have a social media team, it’s not as random as you think
Artists often have manager to their IG (whether or not you know it) but still, some have direct access to their IG. Be kind and conscious of what you write there. There are HUMANS behind that account. Be kind.

4. Actor and actress have a small circle
These people share the same stylists, gym trainers, restaurants to visit and even doctors to go to. Why? Well because their world is similar but also because they want to be with people who will make sure their privacy are kept safe.

What does it mean? People know people. The stylists put similar clothes on different artists. They go to same cafes etc. Don’t think because they have the same things it means theyre dating. They don’t like dispatch. They don’t want more of that intruder in their lives. The actor that I knew would fly to the US just to date - pay more to be in a restaurant that will keep them safe. Please, respect their privacy by giving them space & support when they love someone.
5. Their lives — whether successful or not — is really hard
Actors/actress have ungodly working hours. Work hard to get casted in good project. Invest $ for project. Struggle with injuries due to work. Have internal issues in their mgmnt. They are truly more humans than you think. The actor that I knew cried for days when he broke up but would still shoot and go to filming sites. Lost money due to mgmnt mistake. Experienced lots of injuries due to the filming etc. Your “bias” is truly more human than you think.
This means two things for us internet keyboard warriors:
1) Before you hate on anyone, reflect and ask yourself: has this actor or actress done immoral behavior that harm someone? Do you know-I mean KNOW them? Can u do their craft better? No? your hatred is insignificant. Truly.

2) If you love an actor or actress, focus on highlighting their positive traits and supporting their crafts legally. Recommend their work to your friends. They need that more than ur energy spent on haters. They love seeing comments on how their movies/work inspire you. Do that!
Trust me, when you know their world, you’ll hope that the k-entertainment and our world we live in can appreciate their hard work and can be a safer place for them. That fans can be more mature. And most of all, that we can see them as human as possible.

The oppa that I know enjoys eating street food quietly. He is also someone who deserves to love & be loved, and to make choices that are right for them simply because they are human :)
