1. On June 3rd, Trump issued an Executive Order to create a "National Garden of American Heroes" with a list of specific people. All but one already have a statue (or several) in their honor, many are in Washington, DC. Let's take a look to see why we don't need this "garden."
2. There are several statues to John Adams, including this one in Quincy, Mass.
Susan B. Anthony is in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda with other suffragists & one is planned for Adams, NY. Here she is having tea with Frederick Douglass in Rochester, NY.
There's a bust of Clara Barton inside of the Red Cross history and education center in Washington, DC.
Daniel Boone statues abound in Kentucky. This one's on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University.
There are two statues of Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain in Maine.
Henry Clay statues can be found in Statuary Hall in the Capitol and in Lafayette Square in New Orleans.
Davy Crockett is popular in Tennessee and Texas, where there are three. Here's a bronze statue of Crockett added at the Alamo.
There are numerous sculptures of Frederick Douglass, including this 2015 statue at the University of Maryland.
There are at least 3 statues of Amelia Earhart, including this one on the campus of Purdue University.
Statues of Benjamin Franklin? Boston, Philly, and DC have got you covered. This one's in Philly.
There's already talk of putting a statue of Billy Graham in Statuary Hall to replace Charles Aycock to represent NC, but there's also this statue of Graham in Nashville, TN.

Audie Murphy, a WWII hero and actor, already has a statue in Greenville, TX.
Statues of George Patton exist at the U.S. Military academy, and there's an entire museum to him in Chiriaco Summit, CA, with another statue.
Ronald Reagan inside the U.S. Capitol if anyone is bothering to look.
Jackie Robinson has two at Dodger Stadium. Here's one.
Betsy Ross is the only person on the list of "heroes" for the "National Garden" who does not have a statue, although a performer in Philly does an impression of a statue to Ross.
And, yes, there's already a statue to Antonin Scalia just down the road from the Nation's Capitol on the campus of George Mason University. Go visit his sculpture there.
Harriet Beecher Stowe statue? Yes, here she is meeting with Abe Lincoln in Hartford, CT.
There are a number of statues to Harriet Tubman, including this one in Harlem.
Booker T. Washington has more than one, too. At Tuskeegee (L), Hampton, VA, and in Charleston, WV (R).
Do we need another statue to George Washington besides those in the U.S. Capitol, the one in Washington Circle (DC), and buff Washington inside the Smithsonian National Museum of American History?
And last, but not least, if you want to see statues of Orville and Wilbur Wright, you can find them in Dayton, OH, and in my home state of North Carolina, which has an entire National Park Service site complete with statues of the Wright Brothers!
The point of this thread is that we have statues to these individuals around the country and Americans can already visit them!
