If ure gg to say “but i’ve experienced racism as a chinese!” you’re shifting the focus of the whole convo. Asians in general do face racism, but in our local scene, chinese people don’t get turned down for jobs bc they wear a hijab & get turned away frm renting homes bc of race.
don’t get me wrong, compared to a place as messed up as America, Singapore is actually doing really well, everyone in general does live in harmony. But if you’re going to settle for less when we can do so much more to make it better, how are we going to progress further??
