I& #39;ve been wanting to do a headstand for the longest time but I& #39;m too weak for it (muscles wise and maybe mentally tbh idk) but this is a thread that will chronicle my journey to a headstand

Day 1: my shoulders/back hurts a lot after just 15 minutes of basic practice

Day 2: didn& #39;t actually have any cramps or aches from yesterday. Today I practiced for a bit but I& #39;m still struggling with not putting any weight on my head
Day 10: I was able to hold the headstand for a few seconds but it was so tough, I have to work on my core and upper arms strength to be able to smoothly lift my legs up rather than push them off the ground
Day I lost count: after discussion with my biggest supporter on this journey, Ishraq, and filming myself practicing the headstand, I realised I need to focus on building a very strong and stable foundation before I move onto fully extending my legs upwards.
I was finally able to lift my legs up gently off the ground!!!! I& #39;m still wobbly but this is great

Less than a month after starting this journey, I& #39;m so happy to report I& #39;m able to do the headstand properly and without wall support. I started this off having 0 confidence in myself and having very weak arms and abs but with persistence and support from Ishraq I didn& #39;t give up
I had to practice nearly every day and sometimes multiple times a day. This whole experiment is so important to me for personal reasons and I can& #39;t wait to improve my headstand further and take what I learned from this experience and apply it to other aspects in my life.
This has become my new favourite thing to do during my day, and everytime I fall it& #39;s a motivation to keep going and improve my balance and ability to hold it for a longer period of time.
The great thing about filming one& #39;s journey is that it humbles oneself once they go back and see the progress and the failures. It also shows exactly where I need to tweak in my posture to reach the perfect pose.
Eg. I practiced the headstand pose 4 times just this morning and 3 times out of them I fell hard on my back bc I was tilting a little too much backwards. But I was also to hold the pose for much longer than usual!!! Progress
