I won my benefit tribunal. 2 &1/2 years without full benefits has had a pretty bad effect on my health. Waiting for back pay now. I may decide to sue the government for the damage to my health inflicted by their abuse.
I am considering a group action. I need a few days to calm myself and I may very well ask for others to join me in an attempt to gain redress for the negligence and abuse we have jointly received from the DWP.
When my tribunal was cancelled for the second time after waiting two years, I complained to the tribunal service. I explained that due to the cancellations I had incurred costs and the stress of it was undermining my health. They offered me £50 in full and final settlement.
I did not accept it. £50 for the harm that has been done is just an insult and it would probably have precluded any further action. So they have already accepted that their negligence has affected my health. Seems fairly clear to me!
I am considering contacting @GoodLawProject to discuss the possibility of an action of this sort.
