I sent an email to @VicGovDHHS on March 29th asking them what they're doing in regards to preventing the spread of Covid19. Here's a screenshot of my email:
1.I replied with my details. They called back and said they have stationed hand sanitisers in the foyers (which have never been topped up). They said to call the COVID hotline for more info as they couldn't answer my questions.
2. I suggested they also use images in posters in lieu of translated ones for those who cannot read. I also suggested they place stickers on the floors of the foyers so people can stand 1.5 apart while waiting for the lifts
3. I also suggested they use posters to explain that a maximum of 3 people are to use the lift at any given time. After hearing my suggestions the DHHS worker responded by saying "do you actually believe those people will comply?". How condescending is that?!
4. I said of course they will. Why wouldn't they? He then said he'll pass on my recommendations to his manager and keep me posted. He never did. I did however see some multilingual flyers around the estate but it didn't include all the community languages.
They said they hired additional cleaners and residents have seen them but this was only around March and April. Not so much the months after that.
